{2.24.20 - 3.1.20}

Lyla wrote Axel a sweet little note ("Axel is the best sometimes")
I think he's pretty stinkin great all the time // Axel is celebrating a milestone! He has decided he can use the toilet now and that means he's big enough to carry his own bike up the stairs on our way to get the girls from school. (His words, not mine. But I don't disagree!)
Seriously, he's just so great!
Here he is again. A boy and his dog. I'm fairly certain Bullet eats more of Eli's food and snacks than Eli himself eats of it.
He snuck away again, this time with the mini marshmallows...and of course I didn't notice until they were all gone.
Daily snuggles with Dad.
He must think he's getting big...I'm not ready for that to happen // at least he doesn't feel big enough for the slide yet! Haha!
There's so much to contemplate when you're one.
I think it might be time for Eli to have a new bike.
I took the kids to a community workshop where they were taught to make a rubber-cement painting. It was so fun! // Look closely at Lyla's Olaf that she drew from memory!!

Scaring this kid is one of my favorite things to do! He always knows I'm hiding and he always gets genuinely scared and we both think it's so funny!

{2.17.20 - 2.23.20}

Eli's two favorite people to cuddle with are Matthew and Alya. He sometimes will just walk right up to her and sit on her lap, and she loves it! // I love this toothless crazy face!! (Lyla)
Snuggles with Dad are almost a nightly thing. // This picture cracks me up! He did NOT want to get out of the swing but it did not look like he was having any fun.
He's so proud of himself for climbing up on the counter! // And equally proud of himself for smuggling a snack. It's so funny when he sneaks something out of the pantry and just goes to find a little hiding spot to eat it in.
Axel is an artistic little soul. He is so good at coloring and painting and creating. He loves to do it and he has such a great imagination! I love it!
A lot of his paintings are rainbows because he just goes one color at a time in his paint pallet.
We taught the girls how to play War and we have all been loving it! // Belly Button Baby! I love his cheeky little face and those pudgy little fingers.
I love it when my boys play together! Seriously the best!
The kids love their playhouse! // They also love to make little fire-pits all over the backyard. I love it!
I have no idea what he was so grumpy about but it makes me laugh!
We have really enjoyed playing cards lately and Matthew decided it was time for the girls to learn Indian poker. (They aren't very good at it! Haha!)
Miss Ephraim came to the girls class and gave them a personal invitation to attend a princess party at the library. They had a lot of fun and there were SO MANY people there!

Eli loves sauce!!! He will literally drink it off his plate!

{2.10.20 - 2.16.20}

I love burrito babies! And this one is pretty stinkin' cute! // I love this little cheeser! Puffy eyes and all!
Alya was so proud (and rightly so) of her Toothless creation!
Axel is getting pretty good at writing his name! // He's such a little deer!

This boy can go from hot to cold in a split second. I love all of his faces! (Especially his grumpy face!)
A boy loving on his puppy!
Matthew's basement is coming along quite nicely! He's got the floor in and I think it's so pretty!
Axel was so excited to make his own Valentine cards for his primary class!

{2.3.20 - 2.9.20}

There was a reading program at school that the girls were able to participate in. They read 600 minutes in two weeks and earned a star reader award. They were pretty excited!
And I couldn't decide which picture to post, I love them both!
We went up to visit my sisters and stay with my mom for the weekend and I caught Axel reading on like this.
I thought it was so cute!
It was so fun to be with two of my sisters and my nephews...although we only got to see Daxton briefly!
We love our Tia.
Eli decided he wanted to join me in painting while I worked on a project. // Turner was playing at Joni's feet while Eli was crawling around the counter, and of course, Joni's drink was knocked over and obviously it dumped straight onto Turner's head.
Eli is kind of fond of Bullet, and I think Bullet is a little bit fond of him.

I think Axel might have a touch of OCD. He likes to line his toys up like this and then no one is allowed to touch them. He used to do it with the cars in nursery too.

I was practicing a song where my hands crossover quite a few times...Axel must have thought it looked like fun! I hope all my kids will always enjoy music and learning to play!
