pic.a.day {3.16-3.22}

We've had a lot of tears this week. Between new teeth (Lyla has her forth front tooth, both the girls have two top molars - and must be working on more) and having the flu/cold, it was kind of a long week.

But they are still pretty cute little girls and I love them with my whole heart! And here's to hoping that this week goes a little better!

She laid down right after I changed her diaper, stayed there while I read them a story, and fell asleep basically as soon as I was done reading. They really need to stop growing!

 Happy St. Patrick's day!!

 After feeding Mo one morning, the girls didn't follow me inside the house - I went back out into the garage and found them waiting for me to take them on a walk. They are pretty good at climbing in and out of their stroller. Again - they are growing up way too fast.

 Playing on their cars outside.

 This past week, most of our days looked like this. Poor Alya.

 I love when they play the piano together - until they try to push each other off of the bench.

I told Lyla to show me her best smile, and this is what I got! // Alya has found the joys of sitting in trees.

pic-a-day {3.9 - 3.15}

Not a lot to update this week - just a few cute pictures of the babies...and Matthew!

 riding in the stroller is over-rated // some of Dad's sheds

 the girls - especially Alya - love the horns almost as much as their daddy

 we took a trip to find some "dee"

 this girl is one of my best friends in the entire world and I love that my girls love her

 soakin' our feet with Jaiden

 lovin' the deer horns // checking the mail - a favorite past time at our house  Lyla insists on holding the key and pulling the mail out herself

since I don't have a picture for Sunday, here is just a really cute one from earlier in the week

Pic-A-Day {3.2 - 3.8}

This week has been pretty good! Sometimes I look at my girls and think about how little they are, but lately - most of the time I look at them and think about how big they are! They do such grown up things. They practice eating off of a spoon. They say lots of words. They RUN ... it's not their cute little walkreallyfast-run ... it's turning into an honest run. They sit on their own chairs at church - for a few minutes. They walk around our neighborhood and point out all the dogs, trucks, cats, balls and the horse. Lyla wants to hold my hand while we're out walking but Alya mostly hates to hold my hand. Alya wants to push her own stroller, or the cart at the grocery store.
Both of the girls are saying lots of different words, but Lyla is pretty good at saying most of the sounds in her words. She is very meticulous sometimes. She takes her toys one at a time and puts them very carefully in a special spot - or hands it to me and points to the special spot that she wants me to put it.
When we are reading stories, like "The Poky Little Puppy," and the five puppies go out in the wide, wide world, Alya likes to touch all the puppies and have me count them with her. Or when we read "Oh The Thinks You Can Think" there is a page that talks about the three moons, and she will touch each moon and have me count them.
Sometimes they will pick up after themselves...but most of the time it's just so that they can dump everything out and make me pick it all up again.

We finally got some snow to play in!

I love their little piggy tails!!!!

Sip-It! makes the best pomegranate lemonades.

Alya likes to make sure Kitty-Kitty doesn't go hungry.

Another grown up thing they are doing - eating bananas by themselves.

I heard them playing together and peeked in to see what was going on, and this is what I walked into. I wish these things happened more often!

Starry, starry night.
