{2.13.17 - 2.19.17}

I tried to make heart shaped bacon for our Valentine's dinner...but that didn't work. So then I tried heart shaped hole in ones...the cutout was a heart, but nothing else. So we ended up with a candlelit dinner...which was wonderful!
Alya's Valentine's hair. // I was picking up the house one night after the kids were in bed and I found this paper with Alya's name written all over it. I was SO impressed! The funny thing is, when I asked her the next day about it, the girls both told me that Lyla was the one who actually wrote it.
The girls reenacted a dance they learned from "My Little Pony"
"Clap your hooves and do a little shake!"
I think it's safe to say that Axel enjoys bell peppers!
When you have older sisters, sometimes you have to wear a purple bib. // Alya looks adorable in her dress up clothes. I just wish I could remember where she told me she was going! Wherever it is, she looks ready for it!
This is a video of Axel's first experience with a balloon! How cute!!!
I think the girls like the splash pad better when there's no water...but I guess we'll see this summer!
Their favorite part of making cookies. Which of course you have to do after you clean the oven!
Lyla was helping me sort through pictures to put on the blog and when we came to this one I told her how pretty she looked. She said, "I don't look bery dood in that one." I said "yes you do! You're smile is so pretty!" Then she said, "oh. Is that Alya!?" Haha! "Yeah, that's Alya. She has kind of a funny face in this picture, doesn't she?" "Yeah, she does."
I got a pretty good chuckle out of it!!
I'm so grateful that we have had some nice days. It's been SO good to get out of the house to play! The kids have had a lot of fun at the park already this year! And Axel had his first ride down the slide!

{2.6.17 - 2.12.17}

Axel is getting pretty good at sitting up! I still don't dare go too far, or walk away without putting a pillow behind him, but he is getting better!
My little Lyla is such a silly girl! She has a habit that drives me crazy, so after I ask her to stop she sometimes does it "while I'm not looking" to tease me. She will even tell me, "I'll just do it when you leave."
The girls love their dress up clothes! Alya sure makes a pretty Sophia. // I have a Valentine Tic-Tac-Toe, and Lyla took each piece, one by one and told me "This is my savorite sing that I made!" And then asked me to take a picture of her with each of them.
Sometimes I'm a fun mom and pull out the crafty stuff. Today the girls learned that pink and blue make purple, so we have purple St. Patrick's Day decorations, and I love it!

Alya always wants to help with Axel. She's even willing to change his diapers...and has, once!
Axel thought his ride in the hamper was so fun. // Home Depot has the best shopping carts! The girls get really excited to make a trip because they know they get to drive the cart!

{1.30.17 - 2.5.17}

I realize Lyla's head is off of her pillow...but just barely, really. I'm thinking it's about time for bigger beds.
I have so much love for this happy little boy! // I am pretty sure I have a picture of Lyla making this face.
The girls love to paint! They can't pause long enough to look at the camera for a picture.
We took the kids ice fishing! It was pretty cold but they all did awesome!
Look how red Lyla's nose is! // Alya patiently (or not so patiently-this picture is deceiving) waiting for the fish to bite.
We had to go hide out in the tent to keep warm. (Alya)
 Alya may have fallen one or two times while we were out, so of course it was a huge ordeal for her to walk anywhere without help. (Lyla, too!) // My little man posing for me!
Beautiful Lyla with powdered donut lips.
My sweet Axel even napped while we were out. I don't think the girls would have ever done that...even at 5 months old.
He is just getting so big! // Little monster!
My sweet Elsa (Alya). Napping. Right before dinner.
The girls could paint all day every day if I let them. They always want to print pictures off the computer, but Axel sleeps in the same room as the printer, so I started drawing some of their pictures. I can't keep them all, so I took a picture. Now I don't feel as bad throwing them out!
Alya and I played a little dress up. I think it might be fun for the girls to put my dress on every now and then!
Mo's bone makes a pretty good unicorn horn. She was being King Sambra from My Little Pony. // Pretty little Lyla!
