{10.5.20 - 10.11.20}

Well hello there stud! // I have no idea what she is doing! I don't think Alya knows how to just sit on a couch! Haha!
I took the boys to the Grazing Pasture with me to get some cleaning done, and the girls got to go to work with Matthew after school. They had a lot of fun drawing all kinds of picture for us!
I love all the things to look at. Their elk, their cursive...
their wolves and their little notes. I just love it so much!
Cuddling with Dad...maybe not the position I would have chosen to cuddle with him in, but I guess they look comfortable! Haha!
This wouldn't be a bad view off your front porch, eh?

We have been going up to the lake up the canyon where Matthew is working. I really love coming up here!

Lyla wrote a book...

"The Chameleons and a Hunter"
by: Lyla Marie Sorenson

There was two chameleons in a tree and a hunter [came?] and the chameleons were scared.

The hunter was looking for chameleons but he couldn't find any.

The hunger gets a chameleon. Boom. It is dead. He carries it to camp.

The chameleons hid.

The hunter walked past the chameleons.
The end.

{9.28.20 - 10.4.20}

How cute is that little hand wrapped around that pencil! I love watching my kids learn how to use a pencil...I know, that's super weird, but it's true! Maybe I can blame that on my love of hands! // I don't know what story he's telling me, but it's gotta be a good one!
Waiting for Alya to be done with ballet. The kids are so glad there is a park right next to the studio!
Man he's cute! I love how he's resting his hands on his knees! So cute! // It's always fun to stop and say hello to Alamo.
We went up to Idaho this week to help build a fence. The kids put on a pretty good concert for us!
Eli is always happy to go on a ride in the "side-sy-side" // I turned around for a split second and this is what he did. Crazy kid.
He was such a good helper marking the fence posts! And man he looks so cute!!
We got school pictures back for the girls! How cute are they!? I love these so much!

{9.21.20 - 9.27.20}

Showing off our muscles!
Matthew took Axel up the canyon to look at a job they are going to be working on later this year. I don't think it's a terrible spot to be working, do you?
Lyla was pretty upset that I wouldn't let her wear this outfit to school! // We went up north and met my mom and sisters for a birthday dinner for my mom. It was a lot of fun and I'm so glad we got to do it! I hope it's something we can continue to do on my mom's birthday!
Look how happy that kid is to be driving with Dad! // We love our fishing trips! All the kids reeled in a pretty nice fish! When Lyla was reeling hers in, Alya kept saying "I'm so happy for her!"
This is what Eli does when I ask him to smile for me. // Lyla...again...always finding the crawdad pieces and seashells.

Can't beat these Otter Creek sunsets!

{9.14.20 - 9.20.20}

The girls were so excited to bring their spotlights to school for their birthday week! It was a lot of fun to go through old pictures with them and help them pick out what they wanted to put on their posters.
My girls are seven. I can't even believe it! They were pretty happy with their gifts, I think! They both got a new set of books. Alya got one about unicorns, and Lyla got on about dinosaurs. She also got a t-shirt with her favorite dinsosaur - a Troodon - on it. It's getting fun to buy them gifts as they are both figuring out the things that they like, we have been able to start to personalize their gifts a little big more!
Lyla asked for a wolf cake for her birthday...
...and Alya asked for a fox cake.
I love these pictures of her blowing out her candles! That prep!!!
Alya was given a cute little leotard as one of her gifts! And she got to start her first day of ballet on the same day as her birthday! She was pretty excited, and I was a little surprised at how emotional I got watching her walk into that studio to do something she has been so excited about!
My little bike gang! We decided to hit up the park one day this week to let the boys race around the bike track.
Spiderman...obviously he would be crawling on top of the piano, right? // My little hillbilly trying to hold on to his toothpick!
This is about as much as we got from our garden this year...with the exception that we got about 10 more of those delicious little tomatoes and of course way too much squash and zucchini, and I was able to can a few pints of beans, but it was a pretty sad little garden. Hopefully next year we can get a little more luck!
We had a wildfire pretty close to home!
Matthew has his dream job, which allows him to be on the mountain every week taking  care of some amazing property. The owners of the property let Matthew have one of their bull tags. I was pretty excited for him and I think he's pretty happy with this big boy!
It didn't score quite what he wanted it to, but he is a good looking bull if you ask me!
We went up to see my grandpa in his nursing home. He has been sick for a long time and he actually ended up getting Covid so we really thought we would be saying goodbye soon, so the boys and I headed up north after we dropped the girls off at school to go be with my dad and sisters. They ended up running to a gas station and they brought the boys back a super nasty sucker!! Axel thought it was pretty cool! // The boys and I met up with my cousin and her boys to go on a hike this week. The leaves are starting to change colors and it was absolutely beautiful!
Axel and Jax! // Eli and Mama!
We didn't make it to the end of the trail...one day I plan to! But the boys had a lot of fun just climbing on everything and probably went twice as far as Kass and I by the time they ran ahead of us and then came back to us and climbed on every climbable rock! // I didn't know this cute little boardwalk was up this canyon, but I'm glad we found it! It was so cute!

This is the cutest little bike gang I've ever seen!

{9.7.20 - 9.13.20}

Here are some more pictures from our Labor Day camping trip. The kids spent most of their time around this dang mouse.
Meet Mousey. // Matthew's favorite color is the color of storm clouds. I can't say I blame him!

Eli likes to just make himself a bed on the floor wherever I am. I love that his bear is stuffed into his shirt so he can go everywhere with him.
Gosh he's cute!
The girls get to open some of their birthday presents a little early this year! Look at that box of clothes!!
Matthew got to go out and help Uncle Bob find his elk this year! I think he had fun. Just look at that smile. I think the only time he smiles like that is when he's hunting.
