This little goofball thinks it's so funny to put a pair of my longest socks on his hands and walk around in his brother's rain boots. Silly kid! // We had to get a new washer recently and it has a glass top so we can see what is happening inside while it's running. Eli loves it! (So do I!)
I love that Matthew is doing a My Little Pony puzzle with Eli! // We went to the splash pad with Jeni and Crystal and Grandma. It was a pretty cool splash pad! The kids had a blast!
I could not get Eli to look at the camera for the life of me, but I love this picture of him trying to jump into the water! // Axel got a lot of cuddling with Crystal in while the other kids played in the water.
I love this little video of these crazy kids and their crazy hair!
Matthew has been waiting for this trip for two long years!! He and his dad and some uncles and some cousins went to Elfin Cove Alaska for a week. With Covid being an issue this year he was starting to get nervous that he wouldn't be able to go, but luckily, other than having to wear a mask the entire flight, everything went smoothly!
I mean...how beautiful is this!? // Matthew said the only place you could walk was on the manmade paths because the plants were just so thick everywhere you went. These pictures are beautiful, can you even imagine what this is like in real life!?
Flying into Juneau // This is a photo of the Mendenhall Glacier. I just looked up a couple of facts about this glacier, and apparently it's quite an attraction in Alaska. Now that I have read a little bit about it, I think I might put the Mendenhall Glacier on my bucket list! I guess you can kayak across the lake and hike over the glacier and go down into some pretty amazing ice caves! I think that would just be amazing! Maye one day!
Matthew had a good time catching fish! It was an unguided fishing trip. Some people at the lodge kind of gave them some ideas about where to go but they were kind of on their own. This is a type of Rockfish. // I love how Grandpa is taking a nap on their boat. I can't imagine that is comfortable.
This one is a Ling Cod. I looked up a picture of this one! They have some nasty teeth!! //This one is Matthew's small halibut.
Matthew said there were waterfalls everywhere! Can you see the one on the mountain back there? // These sea stars kept trying to take the bait on the hooks. Matthew said they kept pulling these up on their lines.
I love that Matthew was able to have this trip and this experience with his dad! I am sure it's something he will not soon forget!
I loved this video he sent. If I remember right, on their way out, they took a ferry from Elfin Cove back to Juneau, and I think that's when they saw these Humpback Whales. I could be wrong, but either way, I thought it was a cool video! They also got to see some Orcas but I think they were too far away to get a good video of them. I'm so happy for him and again, so glad that he got to have this experience! Even though he had to wait so long for it!
